Riding with the bulls

San Jose, California, lies less than 50 miles by charter bus south of San Francisco at the southern tip of San Francisco Bay. Despite the metropolitan location, if you are looking to watch bull riding events in or near San Jose, you have a few options. One rodeo is close by, while the others require a bit of a road trip, and the best way to do that is with a bus, coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coach or school bus chartered from New Charter Bus.
Located right on the Pacific Coast, and part of the greater San Francisco metro area, Daly City plays host to one of the largest bull riding events in the Bay Area, and the closest event by charter bus to San Jose. Held each fall at the Cow Palace, The Grand National Rodeo features two weekends worth of bull riding, livestock shows, a Western wear and Western product marketplace, live music performances, Western dancing and a nightly barbecue.
Roughly 60 miles by charter bus south of San Jose, Salinas, California, is home to the California Rodeo Salinas. Running for about a week in July, Rodeo Salinas features bull and saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, tie down roping, horse parades and a kids corral. Events leading up to the week long celebration include a festival, an annual dinner-dance, a barbecue and a gold panning tournament.
Santa Rosa, California, about 100 miles by charter bus ride northwest of San Jose, is home to the Sonoma County Fair. Most years, the Sonoma County Fair features some bull riding events. The fair usually features two full nights of professional rodeo, including bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling and calf roping. The fair takes place in the month of July and dates of the bull riding events vary from year to year. Tickets must be purchased for the rodeo in addition to regular fair admission.
Willits Frontier Days in Willits, California, just less than 200 miles by charter bus northwest of San Jose, takes place around the Fourth of July each year, and features a carnival with street dances. Other events during Willits Frontier Days include a barbecue, a truck pull, horse shows, and junior and professional rodeos. The oldest continuously operating rodeo in the state, Willits Frontier Days have been running strong for almost 90 years and is a favorite charter bus destination.
Visiting San Jose for some bull riding and rodeo fun has never been easier with the services of a charter bus from New Charter Bus. New Charter Bus has a fleet of charter buses that will meet any group’s charter bus transport needs, and their friendly and reliable staff can help you plan your charter bus trip to San Jose and other areas in California with a minimum of fuss and bother.
